Rezolve Medical was founded in 2023 by Lennart Zielstra. After rehabilitating from an accident in the Austrian Alps in 2014, he was left with a drop foot and experienced first-hand the limitations of current ankle-foot orthoses on the market.

After graduating from Delft University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in applied physics and a master's degree in biomedical engineering, he set out on a mission to improve the quality of life for movement disorder patients like himself and founded Rezolve Medical.

In March 2025, Joris Zielstra joined the company as a full-time co-founder, after previously serving as a part-time advisor. Joris has 4+ years of experience working as a lawyer at a Big Four firm. He has also set up multiple businesses. His experience with regulations and compliance combined with his entrepreneurial spirit are a valuable asset for Rezolve. Together, they're working to revolutionize the AFO market with innovative solutions.
